Schools, Universities, Teachers, and Education Featured on Worldwide Stamps
Full STEAM Ahead stamp issue was released last summer for this year’s Australian Stamp Collecting Month (SCM). It depicts key aspects of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) that may be carried out in a school classroom, specifically robotics, virtual reality, hydroponics, space study and urban design, all of which are fundamental to equipping young people with the knowledge and skills to solve current real-world problems, such as sustainability and Climate Change, or to expand our current understanding of the universe. The arts (or humanities) develop skills in planning, problem solving and communicating science and technology, as well as fostering an ability to see the “bigger picture”.
The topic of education on stamps is well represented on worldwide postage. Countries have issued special stamps for Teacher's Day, anniversaries of educational institutions, educational television, and famous educators. You can view many of these issues by searching for keywords such as "education," "universities," and "teachers" at stamp center.com
