NEW ZEALAND FEATURES PETER JACKSON'S 2005 "KING KONG" FILM IN A MONSTER PRESENTATION PACK!

The monster classic, King Kong has been featured in films for decades.  New Zealand's presentation pack commemorating the 2005 Peter Jackson Film features stamps and stamps sheets that depict actual scenes from the film.

  • King Kong (1933): This is the original film that introduced the character of Kong, a colossal gorilla who lives on Skull Island, a mysterious place full of prehistoric creatures. A film crew led by Carl Denham captures Kong and brings him to New York, where he escapes and climbs the Empire State Building with Ann Darrow, the actress he falls in love with. This film is considered a classic of cinema history and has influenced many other monster movies
  • King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962): This is the first crossover film between Kong and Godzilla, the famous Japanese kaiju. The two giants fight each other in Japan after Kong is brought there by a pharmaceutical company that wants to use him as a mascot. The film features actors in rubber suits portraying the monsters and has a humorous tone
  • King Kong (1976): This is a remake of the original film, set in the 1970s. A petroleum company explores Skull Island and finds Kong, who becomes attracted to Dwan, an aspiring actress. The company transports Kong to New York, where he breaks free and climbs the World Trade Center towers. The film was criticized for its special effects and script, but praised for its musical score and the performance of Jessica Lange as Dwan
  • King Kong (2005): This is another remake of the original film, directed by Peter Jackson. The film follows a similar plot as the 1933 version, but with more details and characters.
