AN UNUSUAL 11 COUNTRY JOINT ISSUE CELEBRATING THE LATE QUEEN'S 95TH BIRTHDAY
Joint issues are not all that uncommon, but usually the issue is shared by two or three countries at the most.
In 2021 , eleven postal administrations joined together to celebrate the 95th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II with the issue of a special sheetlet.
The eleven participating nations weer the Isle of Man, Ascension Island, Bahamas, British Antarctic Territory, British Virgin Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Jersey, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, and Tristan da Cunha.
The sheet contains 11 stamps, one from each postal administration. Among these is the only stamp in the series that shows Elizabeth looking at her stamp collection, the 80-penny Leisure stamp from South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. According to Pobjoy Mint, the photograph was taken in July 1946 at Buckingham Palace.
