Description
The sixth issue in our Lunar New Year stamp series celebrates the lunar Xinchou year, which is the Year of the Ox. Also known as the spring festival, the Lunar New Year is the most important celebration in the Chinese calendar and is celebrated by Chinese and ethnic communities around the world. The Ox is thought of as a symbol of prosperity in China, an ideal that has been incorporated into the design of both the stamp and miniature sheet. As with the previous issues in the series, the Year of the Ox has been designed by Wang Huming in Beijing China.
