You Don’t Have To Wait Until Sunday To See The Sunday Funnies Postage Stamps!
I remember the good old days as a young child when I awoke early on a Sunday morning and made my weekly run to the end of the driveway to retrieve our morning newspaper. With eager anticipation I opened it up…not to read the news of course…I was on the hunt for the always delightfully funny comic section. I can still remember fighting with my brothers and sisters over who would get to read them first. Now I have the same scenario play out each week within my own home, with my own children.
In July of 2010, the United States Postal Service honored the much loved “Sunday Funnies” by issuing a set of colorful postage stamps. These adorable postage stamps feature five of America’s favorite comic strip characters.
